Street Survivors is the fifth studio album by the Southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, released on October 17, 1977. The LP is the last Skynyrd album recorded by original members Ronnie Van Zant and Allen Collins, and is the sole Skynyrd studio recording by guitarist Steve Gaines

Street Survivors appeared in stores just days before Lynyrd Skynyrd's touring plane crashed, tragically killing many members of the band, including lead singer and songwriter Ronnie Van Zant. Consequently, it's hard to see Street Survivors outside of the tragedy, especially since the best-known song here, "That Smell," reeks of death and foreboding. If the band had lived, however, Street Survivors would have been seen as an unqualified triumph, a record that firmly re-established Skynyrd's status as the great Southern rock band.

I Know A Little, Lynyrd Skynyrd - 1977 - Street Survivors - One More Time, LYNYRD SKYNYRD - Street Survivors (1977) - 10. Sweet Little Missy, Lynyrd Skynyrd - You Got That Right (Street Survivors 1977), а также рингтоны на звонок и все новые треки.

Southern Rock Lynyrd Skynyrd. Band Name Lynyrd Skynyrd. Album Name Street Survivors.

They had already dented the mainstream, reaching the Top 10 with "Sweet Home Alabama" in 1974, and picking up a sizable following of Southern rock fans since releasing their 1973 debut. But Street Survivors, released on Oct. 17, 1977, was supposed to catapult them into a whole other realm of rock-star popularity. The year before, they added a guitarist, Steve Gaines, who also sang and wrote. They sharpened their pop hooks, becoming a more soulful group as a result.

Lynyrd Skynyrd (Box Set) is the first box set released by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It features outtakes, demos and live versions of songs released on their first six albums. It was certified Gold on 11/18/1997 by the RIAA. Free Bird" (Demo, Oct 1970) (Allen Collins, Ronnie Van Zant) – 4:07. Junkie" (Demo, Oct 1970) (Collins, Van Zant) – 3:48. He's Alive" (Demo, Oct 1970) (Collins, Van Zant) – 3:09.

Released on October 17, 1977, the original pressing of the cover of the Lynyrd Skynyrd album Street Survivors had a photograph of the band standing in flames. Eerily, Steve Gaines’ (in the middle) eyes were closed and his head appears to be engulfed in the flames. Gaines and Ronnie Van Zant both died tragically in a plane crash three days after the albums release on October 20, 1977. Out of respect for the deceased (and at the request of Teresa Gaines, Steve’s widow), MCA Records withdrew the original cover and replaced it with a similar image of the band against a simple black background. Another album cover fact which I’m sure it was a sarcastic gesture is Ronnie Van Zant wearing a Neil Young t-shirt on the album cover.
