Convextion ‎– Convextion. Label: Down Low Music ‎– dLVEXTLP. Format: 2 Vinyl, 12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album. In my opinion this is one of the best techno LP's of all time. I still listen to the album on a regular basis and love it, the strings make it for me they are amazing! The track 'Solum Ferrum ' is my favoutite an absolute masterpeice of a track, slowly building and getting deeper and deeper. It reminds me of a train chugging along in the night.

It is their second album to feature Trevor Lucas and Jerry Donahue, and features no original members of Fairport Convention. Polly on the Shore was re-recorded by the 21st-century lineup of Fairport Convention (featuring only Dave Pegg from the Nine-era lineup) for their album Sense of Occasion in 2007, with Simon Nicol on lead vocals

Convextion - 2845 There's a moment during "New Horizon," 2845's 16-minute opening track, when everything falls into place. The kick drums are galloping tastefully, the chords are majestic and little details dot the background like a star chart. It's breathtaking dub techno made without the usual clichés, which helps explain why Convextion has such a devoted following despite his relatively small discography. 2845 is Gerard Hanson's second album as Convextion, following a self-titled LP from 2006, and only his second record under the name in nine years

International Pop Underground Convention (album). International Pop Underground Convention is a live compilation CD which documents the 1991 music festival of the same name. Various recordings from the festival were compiled by K Records and released as a double album and CD, featuring music by twenty-one different bands. The 1991 International Pop Underground Convention took place in Olympia, Washington.

  • Black_Hawk_Down.
There are only about 5 records that have the capacity to make me immediately choke up if not cry. This taps into the golden era of my life where discovery, love and excitement all came together and this classic always takes me right back to those days. Atkins and May both did it to me. It's glorious. Complete mental surrender when listening to this every time. And tonight I get to see Convextion live for the second time.
  • Phallozs Dwarfs
represses all sound shit these days. making records is no longer an art like it was when this came out.
  • Voodoosida
The guy below don't know what he's talking about. This will worth $$$$ one day. Best 100$ you can spend. Best than Amazon stocks
  • Nawenadet
rubbish, the prices of these records has peaked it's obvious from the stats, if you have 3000 people in the want list and no-one is going to pay the asking price then it's too expensive. basic
  • Togar
This is a nice deep house/techno track that I remember hearing from a mix CD that I have (maybe Juan Atkins's Wax Trax mix) but not worth the prices being asked. If this is getting repressed however, im into that.
  • Ghile
it's nice? lol.. fohwtbs. this is a banger.. the dancefloor surrenders to this one
  • Angana
lol.... it's "nice" yes Atkins of course.
  • Delalbine
spoke with Gerard over facebook and he said that repressing this is something he would really like to do soon
  • Trex
Really??? I know someone that can help with that. This is in my top 3 wants!!!
  • playboy
Can you tell us more? Other represses on the way of his Convextion/E.R.P. early material?
  • Siatanni
hopefully with his new wind of releases we might see a repress???
  • Vushura
Anybody selling a sealed copy msg me ! My grandkids will be dancing to this!ha
  • Maman
Timeless techno music, best thing i've heard in the genre.
  • Nikohn
I just gave my copy away for free! Didn't realise there was any value other than to me ... Then the guy I gave it to told me about Discogs.
  • Xal
Thanks for the reminder spa5tik - nothing like kicking a man when he's down ????
  • Akinonris
Ha Ha - he would be an ex mate Daniel if that were the case.
  • Xtintisha
Is your mate doesn't have an account on here calling himself Pseudo by any chance? ;)
  • POFOD
one of my favourite techno tracks of all time, classic beauty
  • Oghmaghma
This is one of the greatest records ever made, period. The AA side literally changed my life. I now own 3 copies and 1 is still sealed ;)
  • Yayrel
He said that record changed his life and now you want to buy his soul. Shame!
  • Quendant
I would consider a trade for something in my want list
  • Downloaded
message me if you'd like to sell one!? :)
  • Onath
Stone cold techno classic. Eternally existing in the future. AA starts with a muted funky bass line and before you know it has taken your mind, body and soul to a place that would not have existed otherwise. A true masterpiece.
  • BlackHaze
A1 is as beautiful as it gets when it comes to this techno stuff.
  • Arcanescar
sweet killer essential must-have-y-ness
  • Dianantrius
Had to buy this used at Record Time (for 2.99) and would never sell it unless my kids were starving and without clothes. If you owned a Rembrant would you sell it for $100? Play that second track you badass dj's! My copy is not mint however, it was in a used bin... left there by some clueless idiot who hopefully now delivers pizzas at Little Caesars.
  • Neol
This record is a masterpiece. It's a shame the second track is so short.
  • Sironynyr
Gerard Hanson remains one of the great techno mysteries and not really known outside of a very dedicated audience of specialists. For those who do recognize the name, this first Matrix release is a serious classic, a must have and I myself agree with that 100%. Something very unique happens not by accident on this record. Very deep minimal techno coming from Texas is a needle in a haystack. If you own this on vinyl you know exactly why this record commands top dollar even 13 years after its initial release. It dated nicely and even though the masses would never understand how to define the sound of pure techno, Gerald commands those who do with almost "drink the purple juice" type of authority. Running alongside Basic Channel this is a must have for all serious collectors and worth the $100 to own a mint copy.
