it-the Odelay album closer "Ramshackle"-and shelved the rest ("Brother" and "Feather In Your Cap" were, however, later released as B-sides). The Information, Beck's ninth studio album, began production around the same time as Guero, in 2003.

The discography of Beck, an American rock musician, singer-songwriter, record producer and t, consists of 13 studio albums, one compilation album, one remix album, three extended plays (EPs) and 45 singles.

With its sonic fusion, samples, and experimental talent, Odelay takes a massive step back and quickly propels ahead, as if Mellow Gold wasn’t the weirdest thing on his discography. The Midnight Cowboy-esque Devil’s Haircut opens the show, while Where It’s At mixes Napoleon Dynamite synths with a backtrack two turntables and a microphone lyric and catchy tunes. The New Pollution mixes a party with some urban jungle tunes, and Ramshackle gives us a wild closer. All in all, the most sold and successful album Beck has ever produced.

In a completely stark contrast, Beck's album Odelay brings same level of genre hopping neatly cushioned with commerciality. Stylistically, Odelay incorporates both singing and rapping - although the rapping isn't particularly similar to a typical hip hop artist's. It's more similar to just talking than anything specifically rhythmic - this is to no fault though.

Odelay is the fifth studio album by American musician Beck, released on June 18, 1996 by DGC Records. The album featured several successful singles, including "Where It's At", "Devils Haircut", and "The New Pollution", and peaked at number sixteen on the Billboard 200. As of July 2008, the album had sold . million copies in the United States, making Odelay the most successful album from Beck to date

Shouldn't be this merged with the other blue vinyl EU edition? What is the difference between these two really?
  • Kieel
Just picked this up. It sounds fantastic. I think it's 180g as well.
