Ronald Leith is an Aberdonian who since 1973 has been organist, and since 1979 Director of Music, at St. Mary's (Roman Catholic) Cathedral, Aberdeen. He is also city carilloneur. He studied organ and harpsichord at the Royal College of Music in London, and in 1972 won first prize in the National Organ Playing competition at Southport. Since then he has undertaken many recitals and tours both in the . and on the continent, as well as broadcasting regularly on Radio 3. Richard Aldington (8 July 1892 – 27 July 1962), born Edward Godfree Aldington, was an English writer and poet. Aldington was known best for his First World War poetry, the 1929 novel, Death of a Hero, and the controversy resulting from his 1955 Lawrence of Arabia: A Biographical Inquiry. His 1946 biography, Wellington, was awarded the James Tait Black Memorial Prize.
