Sadist is the eponymous fifth full-length studio album by the Italian progressive death metal band Sadist, released on April 17, 2007 by Beyond Productions. This release marks Sadist's return not repeating styles from their last release but taking their musical styles back to the "Tribe era". Jagriti" (instrumental) − 2:30. One Thousand Memories" − 4:55. In November, Sadist headlines Mindviews Belgian Metal Convention, and later are featured on the Japanese Iron Maiden tribute with their version of "Wrathchild. But at the end of 1996, drummer Peso leaves to work on an old side-project and is replaced by Oinos, then singer Zanna and bass player Chicco are replaced by singer Trevor and bass player Andy. In early 1997, the band starts recording sessions for the next album, but before the album was released Oinos leaves the band, to be replaced by Alessio

SADIST debut album "Above the Light "(1993) was released through Nosferatu Records. The band signed a two album deal with the record company. A couple of lineup changes occur as vocalist/ bassist Andy leaves the band and new bassist Chicco and new vocalist Zanna enters. In 1999, SADIST signs a new record deal with Impact/System Shock and release the self-produced "Lego" album in 2000. The album is not well received by the fans as the progressive death metal sound is now replaced by a nu-metal approach. The band is discouraged and decides to take a break from band activities.

One band that has seemingly gone under the radar for many people is the progressive metal outfit SADIST. The band formed in Genoa in 1990 and have released a total of seven full length studio albums (along with a multitude of self-released demos). The veterans are now back with their eighth full length album: Spellbound. A concept album that centres on the immortal body of work of the late, great Sir Alfred Hitchcock, with a majority of the tracks on the album being named after his respective films.
