Donovan Leitch The Enchanted Gypsy. A day once dawned, as sleepers yawned A day of leaves so greeny-o That a man rode high In a tinker's sky And bade me to go a-running-o And follow the path of a gypsy-o. Celtic folkie Tom Donovan was born and raised in Dublin, honing his craft on the local pub circuit before rising to fame in 1994 fronting the short-lived Dublin Town Buskers. In the wake of their debut album Fire and Passion the group disbanded, and Donovan relocated to Denmark to mount a solo career, issuing the acclaimed CD/book set 101 Songs & Ballads from Ireland. 40 Irish Pub Songs followed in 1999.
