The Egg has a few traces of cracks but not enough to depreciate the value of the ultimate outcome too much. The album would have practically no flaws if it were slightly shorter.

Mixed At – Westend Studios. Mastered At – West West Side Music. Shiner (5). The Egg ‎(LP, Album, Ora). Son Of Man NYC Records.

It's a concept album in the best sense of the word: It doesn't have a cheesy central theme per se, like disillusioned robots or mythical dragons, but it feels as if every song fits into one expansive puzzle, like the album already existed, just waiting for its creators to capture it on tape. Kansas City, MO's Shiner has long been at work in the underground.

The Egg is Shiner's best produced album, with a proper mix that reflected their powerful live shows. I still favor this album slightly over Lula Divinia, simply because the songs are of better quality, sound-wise.
