Warsaw was the planned debut album by the English post-punk band Joy Division, while they were briefly associated with RCA Records. Recorded in May 1978, it comprised eleven tracks now known collectively as the "RCA Sessions". However, the band were disappointed with the label's post-production work and the deal fell through, the album being scrapped.
In addition to the twelve tracks from the bootleg recordings, the album also includes five tracks from July 1977, the most punk-inspired songs in the group's discography.
The album circulated on bootlegs bearing the same title until it was commercially released in 1994 (along with a number of other tracks). The original track listing included all four tracks from An Ideal for Living EP. The commercial release included the original Warsaw album plus "As You Said" which was recorded and released in 1980 on the "Komakino" single, as well as the band's first recorded music, "The Warsaw Demo", songs from which were noted as 'bonus tracks'.
Born in isolation, Warsaw is an attempt to effect that mental state upon their listeners. We were originally waiting for the physical release to be finished to hit "publish" on the streaming tracks but this album has been done forever so here it is in it's entirety, a terrifying journey through inner and outer space. Jovian Nightmare, by Warsaw.
Warsaw Album Lyrics by Joy Division. Lyrics to the Full Album on one page). The Drawback (or All of this for You). I was there in the backstage when first light came around I grew up like a changeling to wait the first time around I could see all the weakness I could pick all the faults But I concede all the faith-tests, just a stick in your throat 3 - 1 - G (3). I'm around in your soundtrack, to mirror all that you've done To find the right side of reason to kill the three lies for one I could see all the cold facts, I could see through your eyes All this don't make no contact no matter how hard I try 3 - 1 - G (3).
