Revolution DNA is the fifth studio album by the Greek death metal band Septic Flesh. The album also puts a much larger emphasis on clean vocals than any other Septic Flesh album, along with death growls being largely replaced by a less intense, spoken-rasped style. All lyrics written by Sotiris V. Spiros A. – bass, vocals, artwork, layout.

Revolution DNA started on 12 July 99 in Fredman Studio (Sweden). Mastered by The Mastering Room (Sweden). Samples courtesy of Spectrasonics "Distorted Reality". Rights Society: BIEM ZAIKS. Revolution DNA Septic Flesh. All about Septic Flesh.

Time for revolution, the instruments have changed. Plain Re-evolution in a scale so deep, so strange. As acrobats we are walking balancing on a magic rope. Time for revolution, the instruments have changed. Spheres of light fell down. 7. DNA. Messenger of generations, I can change you, you can change me. Following your winding staircase, doors are opened, doors are closed behind. Codes are broken, we can re-program. Dark New Age Protein synthesis, replication, cell repairing.

However, the true impact of Revolution DNA could not have been imagined by any fan or critic. A stripped down approach to something Septic Flesh had never produced before. Here, we find certain trademarks we come to expect absent; in their place we find a new melodic approach, filled with weighty riffs, direct song structures and the now extremely reliable base of Akis "Lethe" Kapranos on drums. His input keeps the album plugging along and ensures this is the band’s most vigorous album to date.
