I love girls, girls, girls, girls Girls, I do adore Yo put your number on this paper 'cause I would love to date ya Holla at you when I come off tour. I was shooting a video for a song called ‘Girls, Girls, Girls’. I’d dropped my album The Blueprint on the same day. And I just remember waking up in . and thinking everybody was playing, like ‘That can’t be,’ then turning on the TV and it looked like something from one of those apocalyptic movies.
Jay-Z signed his friend Rihanna to Def Jam Records and now she is a superstar. Robyn Rihanna Fenty, known by her stage name Rihanna, is a Barbadian singer, actress, and fashion designer. Born in Saint Michael, Barbados, her career began upon meeting record producer Evan Rogers in late 2003 through mutual friends; she recorded demo tapes with his guidance. Her tape was sent to several record labels, and she subsequently signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for its then-president, hip-hop producer and rapper Jay-Z

The Carters open up their collaborative album with a luscious tune implementing elements of the beach on "Summer. In the past, both artists have used the beach for metaphorical purposes. In 2013, JAY-Z spoke about bringing sand to the beach on his Mike WiLL Made-It-produced "Beach Is Better (Interlude)" from Magna Carta Holy Grail. The couple appeared by the ocean for the sultry "Drunk In Love" visual. Years later, Bey made a harrowing song revolving around the beach with LEMONADE's "Sandcastles. JAY-Z may very well be subliminally referencing Drake on his opening verse. Drizzy has rapped about wanting to be on Roc-A-Fella before turning into a Hov-type of figure at OVO on "Summer Sixteen. Jay takes shots at the fact that Drake is still signed under Lil Wayne and Birdman, which doesn't make him a true mogul in the game just yet.
Best Jay-Z song ever. Eminem absolutely nails this song, Jay-Z is good on this too. Should be top of the list, very underrated song with great lyrics. If everyone has heard this song it would by far be just look it up you wont regret. His best song off of his best album. Featuring one of the best rap-legends ever. This should be so much higher on this list, it's insane. 15 Heart of the City (Ain't No Love). WHAT! You people are nuts. 28 Girls, Girls, Girls jay z is a lady killer we all knew it. UListen to Sample. 29 Public Service Announcement. How is this song so far down the list?! The lyrics and music perfect and have a old school vibe to them which you never hear now.
By Drew MillardJuly 1, 2017. Twenty years after Jay Z's debut album, we take a look at the legendary rapper's greatest songs. Perhaps Jay’s most definitive artistic statement was "The Blueprint," the 2001 album in which Jay went from a force in the rap game to a one-man movement. Everyone always remembers the pop smash "Izzo" and the acidic "Takeover," but the album’s true apotheosis was Heart of the City, where Jay lays his case out plainly for why he’s the best around. 13. "Money, Cash, Hoes" (feat.
Despite his best efforts at copying the Bad boy model, Jay had not figured out how to make a hit. But that doesn’t mean In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 was as bad as the critics made it out to be. I think eighty-five percent of it is solid, Jay said while reflecting on the album in a 1998 VIBE profile by dream hampton. And that 85% was better than everybody else’s album at the time. Indeed, if you skip past the two singles, along with the unforgivable Puff Daddy collaboration I Know What Girls Like, Vol. 1 begins to sound like one of Jay-Z’s best albums
