I Started Something I Couldn't Finish" is a song by the English rock band the Smiths. Released in November 1987, it reached No. 23 in the UK Singles Chart. It was the second of three UK singles from the band's fourth and final studio album, Strangeways, Here We Come, and was released after the band had announced their split
I don’t believe this because I used to be one of those people who struggled to complete things I started, and through conscious effort I made myself into a finisher. Experiments are okay to quit. The goal of the experiment is to not be afraid to try something out, so you want to lower the barriers to getting started. If you later don’t feel like doing it, you can stop, no guilt or stress. Commitments need to be carried out to the very end. The goal of a commitment is to not break your finisher’s habit

In the painting there is a tree, a mountain and something that could be an open mouth but when she looks directly at it, it becomes the colour rust. The mouth should belong to the sky because it spits out possibilities and the tree has a branch hacked down though the mountain remains as steadfast or true as it is possible for the poet's time-bound eyes to comprehend. Who are these other two people who own the rest of the painting? The poet has heard their voices come down the line like an experiment but there are no slots in her memory for them.

If you can start reading, you can finish it, it's about having the same enthusiasm to grasp the details and have a sense of appreciation for works and writings of other people and read along with open mind and objectivity. Make focus your watchword and always remain in the present and avoid trying to do everything at once. If the book is a good one or it's based on something that interests you, then you will never want to finish it. There have been times when I have put down a book halfway because it failed to interest me. Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie was one of them.
