Actually, since Mark Lindsay's muse was taking him in a pop-swamp rock direction not far removed from what Elvis Presley was doing at the time, maybe that made sense. Lindsay's increasingly autobiographical material concerned itself with the pleasures and travails of being a rock star on the road, and though he could bring conviction to such material, singing about the dilemma of missing his limo can't have endeared him to his fans. As it was, Alias Pink Puzz charted higher than any Raiders album in two years, but stayed in the charts fewer weeks than any since 1965.

Midnight Ride is the fifth studio album by American pop rock group Paul Revere & the Raiders; released by Columbia Records (CS 9308). Alias Pink Puzz is an album by Paul Revere and the Raiders released in 1969. The title was a humorous reference to the band's tactic of sending the new record to a Los Angeles FM radio station under a pseudonym. It was broadcast as long as the station did not know that "Pink Puzz" was Paul Revere and the Raiders. This album was slanted towards folk rock more than other albums released by this group. Alias Pink Puzz charted higher than any Raiders album during the previous two years but retained that position for fewer weeks than any other Raiders album since 1965. The album charted as high as number 48 on Billboard in the United States. It charted as high as number 46 in Canada. This album was originally released on Columbia records, then. released on Sundazed records in a CD format and was finally re-released on Raven records, again in CD format.

The Spirit of '67 is the sixth studio album by American pop rock group Paul Revere & the Raiders. Produced by Terry Melcher and released in November 1966 by Columbia Records (CS 9395), and featured the singles Hungry, The Great Airplane Strike, and Good Thing. The album would be reissued on LP (with the title "Good Thing") by Harmony in 1977, by Sundazed on CD in 1996 (with three bonus tracks) and in 2015 by Friday Music on 180g clear red vinyl. Good Thing" (M. Lindsay, T. Melcher).

Reissued, Remastered. Mark Lindsay was now responsible for writing and producing all the music. He shifts from the wild, driving sounds of Let Me! to some rather folk/country/rock tracks like Louisiana Redbone. The band was definitely leaving its 60s sound (and personnel) behind but Lindsay's voice is prominent on all tracks and he sounds good no matter what he sings. Artists have to evolve and that's what's happening here.
