Music for UNICEF starred the Bee Gees, ABBA, Rod Stewart and Earth Wind and Fire, among others. These artists, too, made history when they pledged to donate to UNICEF all the future royalties from the songs they performed that night. Also in 1979, another former Beatle, Paul McCartney, and UNICEF organized a series of performances known as the Concert for Kampuchea (Cambodia) during the Christmas holidays in London  . He chose UNICEF above others. More than three decades after the first concert held especially to heighten awareness about issues of global magnitude, her words were still music to UNICEF’s ears.

Matching Music to a Video Tribute. Memorializing a fantastic season or a big event with a video preserves a record of accomplishments for the benefit of the team. And when it comes to giving your organization’s stakeholders something to see at the end of a project, a video makes a wonderful change from yet another pile of papers to sift through. And exhibiting a video to introduce an award at a ceremony is a unique way to accentuate the climax of the proceedings.

A Concert for George. The concert actually opened with a lengthy Indian music segment, featuring Anoushka Shankar under the guidance of her father, Ravi Shankar. Anoushka Shankar's sitar solo, "Your Eyes," is not included in the feature, and the entire Indian sequence, which turns up about an hour into the feature, has been cut down to less than 15 minutes, with interviews and voiceovers often running with the music. The Western music also suffers such interruptions on occasion, but the filmmakers clearly were concerned that there not be too much Indian music in the feature.
