A Gang Show is a theatrical performance by members of Scouts and Guides. Some Gang Shows have leaders of Scouts and Guides on stage too. Leaders, youth members and parents help behind the scenes. The aim is, through performance, to empower young people to make a positive contribution to society. The production teams and cast (all volunteers) plan, write, compose, choreograph, build scenery and props, make costumes and rehearse for several months.

Ralph reader's story is thickly strewn with reminiscences of the many friends he made in his long and varied life, spent in the widely diverse fields of Scouting and Show Business. The book has excellent black and white photographic illustrations including: Ralph dancing with Anna Neagle in 'Limelight' 1938. Sq/Ldr Reader and the No 1 . Gang Show in Normandy D-Day Plus.
