Heaven & Hell: A Tribute to the Velvet Underground. Redirected from Heaven & Hell - A Tribute To The Velvet Underground (Volume Two)). Heaven & Hell – A Tribute to The Velvet Underground is a series of tribute albums released by Imaginary Records in the UK dedicated to the Velvet Underground
Upon its original release, Heaven & Hell seemed like any one of dozens of interchangeable tribute records, but with the benefit of hindsight, this homage to the Velvet Underground (itself just one of any number of discs feting the VU) now feels more like a singularly prescient time capsule documenting the early-'90s alt-rock explosion in all its glory.

Fine Velvet Underground tribute album. Well known Velvet songs recorded by excellent bands. This is the first of three volumes "Heaven And Hell". Most I like "Candy Says" by The Telescopes, "Here She Comes Now" by Nirvana, "Sunday Morning" by James, "Run, Run, Run" by Motorcyle Boy and "European Son" by Ride.

The Velvet Underground is the self-titled third studio album by American rock band the Velvet Underground. Released in March 1969, it was their first record with Doug Yule, who was a replacement for John Cale. Recorded in 1968 at TTG Studios in Hollywood, California, the album's sound-consisting largely of ballads and straightforward rock songs-marked a notable shift in style from the band's previous recordings.
