Los Panchos are a Mexican trío romántico formed in New York City in 1944 by Chucho Navarro, Alfredo Gil and Hernando Avilés. The trio became one of the leading exponents of the bolero and the romantic ballad in Latin America. Its current members are Chucho Navarro J. Eduardo Beristian and Misael Reyes

Each member of Los Panchos played a guitar and sang. Los Panchos reached fame internationally with their romantic songs, especially in Latin America, where they are still regarded as one of the top trios of all time. They sold millions of album copies within a few years of being founded. Julito Rodriguez joined the group in 1952; he was replaced by Johnny Albino in 1958.

Los Panchos first met in 1944 in New York City. The three original members were Alfredo Gil and Chucho Navarro, both from Mexico, and Hernando Avilés from Puerto Rico. All three played guitar and contributed vocally. Los Panchos reached fame with their romantic songs, especially in Latin America where they are still regarded as one of the top trios of all time. They sold millions of records in Latin America and other countries. They also appeared in around fifty movies mostly during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema

Some of their finest recordings were made in collaboration with female vocalists, notably American singer Eydie Gorme, but also Argentines Estela Raval and María Martha Serra Lima.
