Time, Dreaming Itself is the most Feldman-like release in Günter's growing discography. The sounds have a richness that shows Günter's continued mastery of his instrument and his materials. Günter's entire oeuvre has been about treating his listeners to small sounds, cleansing.

John Duncan, Bernhard Günter - Home, Unspeakable (CD, Album). Time, Dreaming Itself (CD, Album).
The Dreaming is used to represent Aboriginal concepts of "time out of time" or "everywhen", during which the land was inhabited by ancestral figures, often of heroic proportions or with supernatural abilities. These figures were often distinct from "gods" as they did not control the material world and were not worshipped, but only revered. The Cult's 1984 album is entitled Dreamtime. The album deals with Aboriginal themes, owing to singer Ian Astbury's interest in the book Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee. Werner Herzog's Where the Green Ants Dream (Wo die grünen Ameisen träumen) (1984) posited an Aboriginal protest against uranium mining based on the taboo against disturbing the dream of green ants and thus causing the destruction of the world.
