In addition to all of the hits and the occasional jazz performances, the misses (and the many Ray Eberle vocals) are also on this set, so general collectors just wanting a taste of Miller's music would be better off getting a less expensive greatest-hits set. However, true Glenn Miller fans should consider this remarkable reissue to be essential; it's all here.

Glenn Miller and His Orchestra was an American swing dance band formed by Glenn Miller in 1938. Arranged around a clarinet and tenor saxophone playing melody, and three other saxophones playing harmony, the band became the most popular and commercially successful dance orchestra of the Swing era and one of the greatest singles charting acts of the 20th century.

Glenn Miller - Greatest Hits. Glenn Miller and his Orchestra 1941 in Real HiFi Stereo" which has the same film tracks from Sun Valley Serenade, but mixed into real stereo. Sadly it does not have the other film tracks, but a radio broadcast in lower grade mono. The Original Glenn Miller Orchestra In True stereo" this has the same tracks also in stereo from Sun Valley Serenade, plus an assortment in mono from various sources, some unique. Glenn Miller In Digital Stereo" remastered by Robert Parker, sounds astonishingly good for fake stereo, ironically better than the real thing as above.
