In Dub ‎(Cass, Album, Promo, RE). Blood & Fire.

This album is a collection of Tappa Zukies (David Sinclair, July 2, 1955) dubs, mixed by Philip Smart. It's one of the best DUB albums I've heard, and certainly some tracks, like MPLA, I consider to be in my all time top ten. On several tracks the mixing takes over the original sound so much, that a true mystic vibe enters. No smooth, polished versions, but hardcore dub coming from the ghetto's of Kingston Jamaica. It is a mix of the best quality reggae musicians that play on this album

Originally released in 1976 with a microscopically small pressing of 300, Tappa Zukie's dub album is one for the ages and, along with Man Ah Warrior, a necessary purchase for all those who claim to love reggae music. Thankfully, Steve Barrow and all the righteous roots reggae fans at Britain's wonderful Blood and Fire label (the best reggae reissue label on the planet) have re-released this amazing slice of heavy dub for mass consumption

Redirected from Tappa Zukie). Tapper Zukie (or Tappa Zukie) (born David Sinclair, 1955, Kingston, Jamaica) is a reggae deejay and producer. Tapper was the nickname given to him by his grandmother in his youth, while Zukie was a name that came from his friends' association as a young boy - their gang was called 'The Zukies'. In 1973 his mother, concerned with Zukie's tendency to get into trouble, sent him to England to stay with some relatives.
