And the waves crashing around me The sand slips out to the sea And the winds that blow remind me Of what has been, and what can never b. And climb high to the highest rung To shake fists at the sky Others have excuses I have my reasons why With so much deception It's hard not to wander away It's hard not to wander away, it's hard not to wander away. I made her smile, I made her cry Cleared her head and made her wonder why I helped her live, I made her wanna die But she can't complain, she can't complain. She tried to date a friend of mine I was at his house when she came to say goodbye He stood her up and she took it as a sign But I can't complain, I can't complain.

And, sure enough: BOING!, out pops a greatest hits record.
