Wishful Thinking is a 1985 remix album by the synthpop band Propaganda. Originally released November 1985, Wishful Thinking was initially put together as a promo for the American club market, composed of remixes of tracks from the album A Secret Wish. It was compiled by Paul Morley and tape operator Bob Kraushaar without input from the group themselves, who objected to its release in Europe.

It's wishful thinking It's always wishful thinking, uh huh It's wishful thinking It's always wishful thinking, and uh. CHORUS. It was a day like this when we met in 1993 She came up to me whispering something like sunshine While I was in line At the festival which couldn't compare To the festivities of her beauty I moved our conversation from Name into hobby Hobby into visions Visions to envisioning the two of us meeting up again If she would just.

It's debut album "Wishful Thinking", endorsed by Steely Dan's Walter Becker, hit Radio & Records' Top Ten Jazz chart in February of 1986. It's follow-up album "Think Again" also reached "Top Ten" status the next year and was the group's first recording to chart in Billboard and Cashbox as well. Way Down West"; their third and perhaps best known work, was released in late 1988; not only reaching Top Ten airplay status, but in March of 1989, went "Top Ten" on the Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz album sales chart  .

The group changed their name to Wishful Thinking in 1966 with the line-up Roy Daniels on vocals, Terry New on lead guitar, Roger Charles on bass and Brian Allen on drums. A Decca studio-album was unfortunately never released, but the records are are compiled by independant Dansh label Frost Records on the the Collection "Step by Step". During a tour through Denmark in 1967 they supported Pink Floyd on their gig in Århus on September 10th. In 1969 bass-player Roger Charles was replaced by Tony Collier 1969. It was released in the UK in 1971 on B&C Records, the original distributor of "The Famous Charisma Label.

So it’s wishful thinking, come back to me, baby. This love is an extraordinary love (only love). I don’t want to be separated from you! I believe in wishful thinking. What are you doing? Who are you smiling at? Your wistful feeling, I’m obsessed with it. I’m bound hand and foot, it’s outrageous. I recite it like an incantation (You’re mine, you’re so fine). You’re the only one who can save me. Wishful thinking. Let’s change our uneasiness to hope. Since I am unable to convey my thoughts to you.
