Flood is the sixteenth and second live album by Herbie Hancock. It was originally released only in Japan in 1975 as a double LP, and features the Headhunters Band, performing selections from the albums Head Hunters, Thrust and Man-Child (the latter still two months away from release at the time of these concerts. It remained a Japanese only release in all formats until a 2014 US CD reissue by Wounded Bird.

Thrust is a jazz-funk album by Herbie Hancock, released in September 6, 1974 on Columbia Records. It served as a follow-up to Hancock's album Head Hunters (1973), and achieved similar commercial success, as the album reached as high as number 13 on the Billboard 200 listing. The lineup for Thrust is the same as on Head Hunters, except that Mike Clark replaced Harvey Mason on drums. This is Hancock's fourteenth album overall.

Dedication is the thirteenth album by American jazz pianist Herbie Hancock. It was recorded in Japan by Hancock alone in 1974 during a Japanese tour.

Herbie Hancock and the Headhunters take to the road in the live double album Flood, recorded and released only in Japan. Exclusively for Prime members. Sample this album Artist (Sample). Maiden Voyage" begins this live Herbie Hancock album. I'm guessing the reason Flood is so popular now is because it was recorded during the classic years of Herbie's career. After the "Would you please welcome Mr. Herbie Hancock!" introduction the song begins. It's somber piano for the most part, jamming away with a distinct feeling of loneliness. It's mostly melodic but the mood is the most notable aspect.
