Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo is the fourth studio album released by American punk rock band MxPx in 1998. The album title was taken from a letter that a fan had written to the band, complaining that the band was changing, and, "Slowly Going the Way of the Buffalo". Due to the success of MxPx's "Chick Magnet", from their previous album Life in General, the band signed a multi-album contract with A&M. A&M had previously signed a deal with Tooth & Nail to co-market Life in General.

The band combined elements of folk and country music with British invasion and psychedelic-rock influences, and, along with the Byrds, were part of the early development of folk-rock.

In response, they lobbied the city to pass local ordinances stopping loitering, and enforced a strict curfew on the Strip after 10 . On Saturday, November 12, 1966, fliers were distributed on the Sunset Strip inviting people to join demonstrations later that day.

Jay Z & Kanye West, Watch The Throne Every aging rocker gets the chance to record a duets album. How many established rappers get the same privilege? Just the fact that Kanye West and Jay Z were able to make this album is something to celebrate, but the great songs on it - unpredictable and self-congratulatory, reflective and over-stuffed - happen to be an added benefit. Aside from the striking image and internal rhyme, the line offers Lamar as that flower - a hyper-intelligent, sensitive soul who has survived the harrowing mechanics of gang violence.

From the top of the mountain I looked down at the town. I saw the streets very clearly. They were very quiet. I did not see any parents running around, looking for their son. And I did not see any policemen arresting anybody for kidnapping a kid. Everything was quiet. Maybe, I said to myself, they have not yet discovered that the boy has been kidnapped. When I returned to the cave I saw a frightened Bill standing with his back to the wall. The boy was going to hit him with a large stone. He put a hot potato down my back, explained Bill
