The Kinks' 1968 concept album, "The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society," will be re-created in its entirety on Feb. 23 in Glendale by the Wild Honey Orchestra. In addition to re-creating the album, the show will also incorporate several additional songs from the band’s vast repertoire, but chosen from the group’s pre-1973 releases. Various guest singers still to be announced will be supported by a house band, which will be led again by musical director Rob Laufer. The Wild Honey Foundation has been hosting benefits periodically since 1994 and previously has staged presentations of songs and full albums by the Beatles, the Beach Boys, the Band, Buffalo Springfield and Big Star to aid the Autism Think Tank, a nonprofit providing services to people with autism and their families.

It is notable for its short, poppy, and punchy sound. By August 18, 2000, Weezer was having meetings with various producers, learning and rehearsing new songs in their new garage, and ironing out all plans regarding recording a new album.

Andrew from Birmingham, United StatesI always thought that "Green, Green Grass of Home" was about a soldier who finally returned home from war. Oh, but it's a prison period that's over, not a war period. My bad! In any case, it's about a guy who's glad to be home after a long time away.
This is it, the last Futurama cartoon ever - unless the DVDs of Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder sell like Slurm and Fox resurrects the Matt Groening space case (à la Family Guy). That’s iffy, though, because as with the last three Futurama flicks, Wild Green Yonder is for fans who’ll pore over insidery nuggets, not for newbies expecting a tidy plot. The action follows developer Mr. Wong (Billy West) as he rebuilds Mars Vegas, gleefully crushing whatever species get in his way.
