Across a Wire: Live in New York City (also known as Across a Wire: Live in New York for short) is the third album released by Counting Crows, released on July 14, 1998. It is a double-live album, featuring songs from their first two albums, August and Everything After (1993) and Recovering the Satellites (1996). Because the album contained two discs, the release was certified platinum by the RIAA for shipments of over 500,000 copies.
Stone the Crows were at the very top of their game when they climbed the Montreux stage in 1972, flying high off their Teenage Licks album, released the previous year. But the songs featured here on Live Crows: Montreux '72 were mainly covers - "Penicillin Blues," a song the Crows made their own, an exultant epic take on "Hollis Brown," and "Danger Zone," which showcased their deepest blues. The band left the stage triumphant, but were laid low several weeks later by the tragic death of guitarist Leslie Harvey

The Crows were an American R & B singing group who achieved commercial success in the 1950s. It peaked at position and respectively, on the Billboard magazine pop and rhythm-and-blues charts in 1954.
Crows live anywhere and everywhere with the exception of New Zealand, South America and Antarctica. Other than those select locations, crows can be found in parking lots, school playgrounds and hoarding over garbage cans anywhere in the world.
