Eydie Gorme The Best Songs - Eydie Gorme

Softly, As I Leave You. 18. All Alone. Eydie Gorme was half of one of the great singing duos with her husband Steve Lawrence. Steve might have referred to her as his "better half. And I believe he was correct in more than just a nominal sense.

Softly, As I Leave You by Eydie Gorme - from her 1967 album by the same name. I remember Steve and Eydie but I was always more interested in his singing and rather ignored her. This is a magnificent rendition of a very beautiful and touching song. Now I have to listen to all of her youtube videos. Full warm vibrant voice and wonderful control.
