The Merry Meds Of ’69. Posted by canonical on November 17, 2006. The University of Alberta is known for it’s rambunctious Medical students. Up until it was banned recently, the Med students put on an annual show of absurdy and offense known as The Med Show. This usually consisted of offensive drama acts, hilarious live music, and pranks. It is rumoured that one year they stole a cadaver and stood in a movie line with it only to have their friend run the cadaver over in a car and scare the sh t out of everyone in the move line. Alas, this is just a rumour

After the huge global success of their singles collection, Once More With Feeling, Placebo return with their 5th studio album Meds. It is their first studio album since 2004's Sleeping With Ghosts which went Top 10 in the UK and sold . million copies worldwide. Preceded by the single 'Because I Want You', the album marks the return of a very confident band who after 10 years together keep growing in stature. The album plays well and is a strong offering from Placebo. I was actually shipped the original version so it did not have the track-list that I was expecting. To clarify, I was expecting the 15 track version (including YOU and Running Up That Hill); however, I receieved the 13 track version (including In The Cold Light Of Morning).
Produced by Dimitri Tikovoi. I was alone, falling free Trying my best not to forget What happened to us, what happened to me What happened as I let it slip. did you forget to take your meds? I was alone, staring over the ledge Trying my best not to forget All manner of joy, all manner of glee And our one heroic pledge. Meds is the fourth single off of Placebo’s 2006 album of the same name. The female vocals are sung by Alison VV Mosshart of The Kills. The band said: The original version of Meds was very different to the one that was recorded. I wrote it during my time in India, like with Song to Say Goodbye. Meds talks about a loss of self, not recognising yourself.
