Temporarily out of stock. Only 2 left in stock (more on the way). I love this guy. Unfortunately this album is not as good as I had hoped. I like his Live in Dublin album better. 2 people found this helpful.

Glenn Lewis Frey (/fraɪ/; November 6, 1948 – January 18, 2016) was an American singer, songwriter, actor and founding member of the rock band the Eagles.

The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. The founding members were Glenn Frey (guitars, vocals), Don Henley (drums, vocals), Bernie Leadon (guitars, vocals) and Randy Meisner (bass guitar, vocals). With five number-one singles, six number-one albums, six Grammy Awards, and five American Music Awards, the Eagles were one of the most successful musical acts of the 1970s.

Glenn Frey, a founding member and guitarist of the Eagles, one of the most popular and commercially successful artists of the 1970s, has died. Guitarist Don Felder filled out the band’s sound in 1974, and after Leadon left the following year, guitarist Joe Walsh joined – beefing up the band’s sound and lofting them to even greater heights with the 1976 Hotel California album, which spawned No. 1 singles with the title track and Frey’s New Kid in Town, possibly his defining song. Along with Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors, those albums defined the denim, drugs and decadence of the jet-setting late '70s California rock scene. In 2012, Frey released his first solo album since the 1990s, a collection of pop standards called After Hours.

Glenn Frey, who has died aged 67, was justifiably proud of his band's achievements. Their meticulous harmonies and relaxed country-rock sound dominated airwaves and cassette decks in the 1970s, with global album sales in excess of 150 million. Don Henley called Frey "the glue" of the band - a business-minded taskmaster who steered them towards commercial success. Frey's lofty ambitions were fulfilled by Hotel California, The Eagles' fifth album. Released in 1976, it sold 16 million copies in the US and double that figure worldwide. While they had been successful before - a greatest hits album collection released earlier the same year had become their first number one - Hotel California was "the zenith of The Eagles", said Frey in 1992, "in that what we had to say came together with our learning of how to make records". It sealed the band's reputation.
