I'm lost at sea just like a fisher, woah Say we fallin' off, that's what they wishin' for Tell the time nigga, that's what we pitchin' for See these nines, nigga, that's what they pitchin' for Put my young niggas all in a movie Cause me and Stunna goin' stupid Got my right hand on the Remy

I took a trip down to the seas Underneath the forest trees Open skies and ocean eyes and skin a honey salted breeze Like the waves you lapped my shores On sandy sheets and wooden floors Slow sun rise and seagull cries We kept behind of walls and doors. If I'm lost at sea, Tell my mother, my father, my sisters, my brother, my friends and my foes, and all my past lovers that I will miss them so, but Lord, I had to go. Sorrows to the sea, Were heading to nowhere but no where is somewhere to me. Take these broken things, Turn them to something but please don't follow me. If I'm lost at sea, Tell my mother, my father, my sisters, my brother, my friends and my foes, and all my past lovers that I will miss them so, but Lord, I had to go. Imagine a motion that moves like the ocean, Your mind is the current that drifts with the notion,.

Notes

Radere is the nom du plume of Carl Ritger, a Philadelphia-based sound artist who constructs dense drones and flickering ambiences from found sounds and heavily treated guitar loops. Lost At Sea, I’m Never Coming Back marks his first recorded work since A Season In Decline – his well-received sophomore effort for Full Spectrum Records – was released at the end of last year.

Inspired by a pair of field recordings captured during a trip to the shore, Lost At Sea… opens quietly, with softly billowing drones and wind-like currents moving through the mix. The piece gradually builds to a roaring crescendo before melting away to reveal a beautiful lattice of sparkling guitar loops and hauntingly delicate atmospherics. With Lost At Sea…, Ritger has managed to capture the illusion of being submerged beneath the sea: adrift, but at peace. basic_sounds is honoured to share this musical triumph.
