Live is the eleventh album and the first live album by Alison Krauss and Union Station. All of the songs except "Down to the River to Pray" (performed at Austin City Limits) were recorded at The Louisville Palace on April 29–30, 2002. The album was released on November 5, 2002. Alison Krauss - Vocals, fiddle. Jerry Douglas - Resonator guitar, vocals. Dan Tyminski - Guitar, mandolin, vocals. Ron Block - Guitar, banjo, vocals. Barry Bales - Bass, vocals. Larry Atamanuik - Drums.

Produced by Union Station & Alison Krauss.

The album peaked in the top 50 of the Billboard 200 and within the top 5 of the Billboard charts for both Country and Bluegrass and was certified gold. This album was released in the same year as the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack, which Krauss appeared on, that had a large effect on bluegrass in the United States

While Krauss and Union Station guitarist/vocalist Dan Tyminski got deeply in touch with their dust bowl Americana roots for their work on the film, their follow-up studio album is certainly the slickest, most progressive work they've recorded to date. The whole album is well crafted (with the exception of Tyminski's.

I highly recommend this album. Not a new album, but really a classic of modern bluegrass and country sound. Beautiful material, beautifully recorded. The playing is superb, and Alison's voice shows its versatility. As with most of the albums by this group, there is a wide range of style, but the styles don't conflict or generate a jarring experience when heard in sequence. It's been used in countless mixtapes, videos, etc. When you hear it, you're likely to recognize it even if you haven't heard the album before
