Stage is David Bowie's second live album, recorded on the Isolar II Tour, and released by RCA Records in 1978. Though it was rumouredat the time that this would be his final outing with the label, following dissatisfaction over the promotion of Low and "Heroes", Bowie remained with RCA until 1982.
About Station to Station. 1975 was a very productive year for Bowie: Young Americans achieved the first place in a lot of countries in the world and, his single, Fame achieved the success that Bowie was looking for since the very beginning of his solitary career. Station to Station was recorded while Bowie was in the grip of cocaine. While this is not shocking for anyone who followed the music industry in the ’70s and ’80s, what is shocking is how good of an album was produced by Bowie in that state. When an album only has six songs, things get a little easier, especially when all six are out-and-out gems.
