East of Eden was a British progressive rock band, who had a Top 10 hit in the UK with the single, "Jig-a-Jig", in 1971. The track was stylistically unlike any of their other work. Although some might consider this group as being a symphonic progressive band, others state that their style is mostly jazz oriented.

What a great track. I can't believe this has not been reviewed yet. Excellent piece of Folk/ Prog Rock. Awesome break that to my knowledge has still not been properly exploited. Dr. Rubberfunk and Zilla did use it on a Cut Up Track from Revenge of the B-Boy-Episode 2 but drowned it out with repetitive vocal sound bites. The original carries much more weight. Also has excellent percussion supporting it. This can always be picked up quite cheap and I can't count the amount of times that I have thrown this into a set to watch people unsettled at the sound of the violin intro and then to go crazy once it kicks off into heavy breaks and absolute mayhem.
