Louis-Philippe (Paul) Pelletier. Pianist, teacher, b Montreal 7 Aug 1945; premier prix piano (CMM) 1968. He studied at the CMM 1961-8 with Lubka Kolessa (piano), Gilles Tremblay (analysis), Otto and Walter Joachim (chamber music), and Irving Heller (sight reading) and was a teacher and accompanist there 1970-3. He continued his training in Paris 1973-6 with Claude Helffer (piano) and Maurice Martenot and Christine Saïto (relaxation). Among the Canadian works Pelletier has premiered are Michel Vinet's Métamorphose, Raynald Arseneault's Sonata, Michel Gonneville's Contribution à l'étude de phénomènes musicaux (a work he commissioned with a grant from the Canada Council), Claude Vivier's Shiraz, and Michel-Georges Brégent's Trad-sens Concertio with the MSO.

Alban Berg (1885 – 1935): Piano Sonata Opus 1 Pianist, Marie-Claire Laroche Live recording of a Recital, 1985. At 10 years old, Marie-Claire Laroche entered. With the great conductor Louis de Froment and the RTL Orchestra, she has recoding of Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto and Richard Strauss’s Burleske for Piano and Orchestra in D minor. Other recordings include Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 9 in D minor and works of Enrique Granados, Albert Roussel, Jacques Charpentier, Antoine Tisn.

Opus 1 is the debut and only studio album by Yugoslav progressive rock band Opus, released in 1975. The band Opus, formed and led by organist Miodrag Okrugić, from its formation in 1973 until the final breakup in 1979 went through two breakups and reformations and numerous lineup changes

The series was started with paintings transcripting piano music of Arnold Schoenberg and his students Alban Berg and Anton Webern followed by Ravel's Daphnis et Cloé, Mendelsohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream and ballet music of Igor Strawinsky (Le sacre du printemps, Petrouchka, L'oiseau de feu) followed by Toru Takemitsu and Olivier Messiaen.
