China is a studio album by the Greek electronic composer Vangelis, released in 1979. Although he had never been to China, he employed Chinese instruments and compositional styles on this concept album. It was thematically ahead of its time as the eastern cultural concepts were mostly unknown to the western audiences. It is one of his critically most acclaimed solo studio albums. It was certified silver (1985) for sales of over 60,000 copies by BPI.
The Dragon (LP, Album). Listening to "The Dragon", to me, is a similar experience to listening to "Hallogallo" by Neu!. It may seem like a stretch, but both are sickly long jams with minor yet intriguing variations on a continuous them. Reply See 1 reply Notify me 1 Helpful.

The Dragon is not a true Vangelis album. It is listed here only because it was produced and sold in large numbers by the established record industry. Vangelis however was not a part of the production. He did play the music, but it was never intended for release. The LP put together without Vangelis' consent from selections of music recorded during jam sessions in London's Marquee studio, in 1971. Read producer Giorgio Gomelsky's memories on recording with Vangelis. A: 1 The Dragon 15:08. B: 1 Stuffed Aubergine 11:33. 2 Stuffed Tomato 9:28. Bootleg LP. Alternative bootleg LP. Hypothesis is not a true Vangelis album, in the sense that he never finished this music, or intended it to be released in this way. However, it was sold in large quantities in the regular distribution chain.
