Vardis' second, only slightly inferior album is also featured in full (including their fiery version of Hawkwind's "Silver Machine") and we're well into disc two before the material takes a dip in either quality or sheer acceleration. Then, the band's diminishing fortunes (. uneven third album, Quo Vardis) invariably lead them down the roads of commercial concessions and questionable attempts to expand their audience (witness the cringe-inducing ballad "To Be With You").

Ever! is a compilation album brand from Circa Records (trading under the 'strategic marketing' brand name of EMI/Virgin Records). Ever! et., however on a number of indie music collections the genre aspect was replaced by a full list of artist names.

VARDIS were forged out of Glam, Punk, Heavy Metal, Blues and Rock 'n' Roll in the crucible of 1970s northern England. They are a product of rock music across three generations: inspired by the great Rockers and electric bluesmen of the 50s and 60s, learning their trade rubbing shoulders with the young guns of Hard Rock and Punk in the 70s, and achieving prominence in the 80s as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal. The hard, ferocious attack of their sound directly influenced the development of thrash and speed metal across North America and Europe, cited by metal giants such.
