The Foggy Hogtown Boys is a Canadian bluegrass band, based in Toronto, Ontario. The band recorded their first CD live at the Lula Lounge in Toronto in 2004. Since then they have recorded several more critically acclaimed CDs. Their album "Pigtown Fling" was nominated for two awards at the 3rd Canadian Folk Music Awards, and were nominated again at the 4th and 6th Awards. In 2007 the Foggy Hogtown Boys played a double bill with the American band the Grascals at the Silver Dollar tavern in Toronto. That year they also performed at a concert organized by the Pineridge Bluegrass Folklore Society in Oshawa, Ontario, and at the Calgary Folk Music Festival in Alberta

Born into a bluegrass family in Maryland, Jordan started early, playing bluegrass and fiddle tunes with some of the best players in the fertile mid-atlantic bluegrass scene. He also stayed busy playing rock and roll with his peers as well as studying jazz and classical guitar and composition in college. He released his first solo record of mostly original music at the age of 17 called "No Place Better" (2005) to critical acclaim within the bluegrass world. Befriended and mentored by Bill Monroe, the acknowledged Father of Bluegrass Music, Mike Compton is one of today's foremost interpreters of Monroe's genre-creating mandolin style. Compton's mastery of mandolin is at once effortless and exceptional. In 2000, he formed The Foggy Hogtown Boys, one of the most popular and enduring bluegrass bands in the country. Many of Chris' original songs have found their way into the band's repertoire. All under the age of 16, brothers Jonny, Robbie and Tommy Mizzone are from New Jersey, a US state that's better known for the rock of Bruce Springsteen than the bluegrass of Earl Scruggs. Nonetheless, the siblings began performing bluegrass covers, as well as their own compositions, at a young age.
