Chér (eventually reissued under the title Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves) is the seventh studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released in September 1971 by Kapp Records. For this album, Cher left her husband Sonny Bono to produce the album, and for the first time she collaborated with Snuff Garrett and with Al Capps for the arrangements. The album was retitled after the success of the single of the same name.

Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves Lyrics. I was born in the wagon of a traveling show My Momma used to dance for the money they'd throw Poppa would do whatever he could Preach a little gospel Sell a couple bottles of doctor good. Gypsys, tramps and thieves We'd hear it from the people of the town They'd call us gypsies, tramps and thieves But every night all the men would come around And lay their money down.

Текст песни: I was born in the wagon of a travellin' show My mama used to dance for the money they’d throw Papa would do whatever he could Preach a little gospel, sell a couple bottles of Doctor Good.

Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves (originally titled Cher) is the seventh studio album by American singer-actress Cher, released on September 1971 by Kapp Records. Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves" became Cher's first number one song, reaching number one in both Canada and the US.

This also reached in Canada and France. After the success of the song, the album title was changed from Cher to Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves. Susan from Atlanta, GeorgiaI've always liked this song. I think the people CALLING them gypsies (NOT GYPSYS like the title of the song misspells it), tramps and thieves is the whole point, Showgirlmimi - the people in the towns will partake of their entertainment, but then put them down for what they do.

the town They'd call us gypsy's, tramps, and thieves But every night all the men would come around And lay their money down Gypsy's, tramps, and thieves We'd hear it from the people of the town They'd call us gypsy's, tramps, and thieves But every night all the men would come around And lay their money down.
