Album Having a Rave Up with The Yardbirds. Heart Full Of Soul Lyrics. Sick at heart and lonely Deep in dark despair Thinking one thought only "Where is she, tell me where?" And if she says to you She don't love me Just give her my message Tell her of my plea. And I know That if she had me back again I would never make her sad I've got a heart full of soul. And I know If she had me back again I would never make her sad I've got a heart full of soul

Heart Full of Soul" is a 1965 single by the British Invasion band The Yardbirds. It was written by Graham Gouldman, who later had a lengthy career as a member of 10cc. It charted in the . at and at in the UK. The song makes an early use of the fuzz box by guitarist Jeff Beck during the guitar solo. Originally, a sitar was going to be used, in keeping with the "Eastern-exotic" atmosphere of the song, but the sound was too thin, and eventually Beck produced a sitar-like effect on the guitar. An outtake exists, with the sitar part intact.

Then Graham came to us with 'Heart Full Of Soul' and we felt that was the perfect follow up. It became a hit as well and we were on our way. We knew we were now in a position where we had to come up with hit singles on a regular basis. But we were all for it and were happy to carry on and start experimenting.
