Miscellaneous (Classical). The Rough Guide to Classical Composers: Beethoven (with Bonus CD: Beethoven's Mass in C major). 126 (Andante amabile). Ludwig van Beethoven. Symphony No. 7 in A major, Op.

Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) was a German composer and pianist, who is arguably the defining figure in the history of Western music. Beethoven moved to Vienna in 1792, where he met influential composers like Haydn and began to compose in earnest. By 1796, he had begun to suffer from tinnitus and was losing his hearing. Beethoven composed his Piano Sonata No. 14 ('Moonlight') in 1802. The Third Symphony, known as the 'Eroica', was completed in 1804. It went on to redefine the symphony as a genre. The opening motif to the Fifth Symphony from 1808 is one of the most famous musical excerpts in history.

Ludwig van Beethoven (/ˈlʊdvɪɡ væn ˈbeɪt(h)oʊvən/ (listen); German: (listen); baptised 17 December 1770 – 26 March 1827) was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the classical and romantic eras in classical music, he remains one of the most recognized and influential musicians of this period, and is considered to be one of the greatest composers of all time.

Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in Western art music, he remains one of the most famous and influential of all composers. Beethoven composed in several musical genres and for a variety of instrument combinations. His works for symphony orchestra include nine symphonies (the Ninth Symphony includes a chorus), and about a dozen pieces of "occasional" music.

Ironically, Beethoven never truly set out to be a composer for the sake of being a composer. Instead, he mostly concentrated on studying others’ works and performing them, which is a discipline at which he excelled. He just happened to fall into the composition, more or less, but ended up truly pursuing the discipline under the instruction of Franz Joseph Haydn, who was Mozart’s contemporary. Western classical music is one of the best bedrocks of education and inspiration a 21st-century musician can have, especially with Mozart and Beethoven influencing just about everyone who hears them. It could be said that, now, more than ever, we need music to soothe quite a number of grieving, unhappy souls, and unite people in defiance of those who seek to divide.

Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and the predominant musical figure in the transitional period between the Classical and Romantic eras. Who Was Ludwig van Beethoven? Ludwig van Beethoven (December 16, 1770 to March 26, 1827) was a German pianist and composer widely considered to be one of the greatest of all time. His innovative compositions combined vocals and instruments, widening the scope of sonata, symphony, concerto and quartet. He is the crucial transitional figure connecting the Classical and Romantic ages of Western music

Beethoven was a youth at the closing chapters of the classical era, indeed he met both Haydn and Mozart, however those early works that Beethoven wrote which were of the classical period predated his greatest and most formidable creations. It is generally held that Beethoven almost single-handedly set music firmly along the romantic path with his daring Eroica Symphony. From this point on he established himself as the greatest composer of (at least) the early 19th century romantic era in music
