A Chicken is an item in EarthBound and Mother 3. It can be obtained if Ness and co. have a Fresh Egg in their inventory and wait. The egg will eventually hatch into a Chick, which will then grow into a Chicken. If used, the Chicken will flee from the character's inventory, but they can be sold for considerably more than the Fresh Egg it originally came from is worth. This can be used as a simple way to obtain money early in the game

A list of the best chicken breeds with images for both egg layers and meat birds, and information on each variety with regards to number of eggs expected and character. As far as I am concerned, the best chicken laying breeds are by far the White Leghorns, the Plymouth Rocks, and the Rhode Island Reds. In the past I have kept Rhode Island Reds crossed with Light Sussex and they are excellent layers too producing eggs 6 days out of 7 during the laying season. They did go off the boil for a while when a lot of them were broody, but eventually they sorted themselves out and went back to laying eggs once again. However, this is one disadvantage of Rhode Island Reds crossed with Light Sussex - they do tend to go broody more than other laying hens

The year 1987 was a key one in the history of hard rock music. For much of the '80s, what would be considered "hard rock" mirrored what most of us would currently consider as classic rock - holdovers from '70s rock radio - as radio programmers held strong to the format while there was the occasional breakthrough for harder sounding acts. The explosion of what many declared as hair metal had started to grow roots a year prior with bands like Poison, Cinderella and Bon Jovi enjoying breakout success.
