While Performing As Majesty. Instrumental 3. 1986. 코드 및 기타 식별자. Matrix, Runout: DT-DEMO. The show from L'Amour is the earliest live recording of Majesty, later known as Dream Theater. It's pretty easy to see why their singer from this point in time, Chris Collins, was replaced. I have described him before as sounding like "the overwrought Geoff Tate on helium. He does a respectable job with Gates Of Babylon though. On the second disc, you get some early demos, some of which I think made it to the "Majesty Demos" release from Ytse Jam Records.

Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name Majesty by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. They subsequently dropped out of their studies to concentrate further on the band that would ultimately become Dream Theater. Though a number of lineup changes followed, the three original members remained together until September 8, 2010, when Portnoy left the band

Releasing an eight-tune demo, Majesty Demo, as Majesty, the group sold 1,000 copies within six months. The departure of Collins in late 1986 left Majesty without a vocalist, and after a long period of auditioning possible replacements, the group settled on Charlie Dominici in November 1987. Changing its name, the group agreed on Dream Theater, inspired by a now-demolished California movie theater. Signing with Mechanic Records, the group began working on its first full-length album. Delays caused by label mismanagement limited the group to performing at small clubs and bars
